EagleBank Appoints Corey Muñoz as Chief People Officer

October 22, 2026  —  EagleBank (Nasdaq: EGBN), a community bank serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region, has appointed Corey S. Muñoz, Ph.D., as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, effective November 16, 2026.

Muñoz will join EagleBank’s executive leadership team and report directly to Stephen Curley, President and Chief Executive Officer of EagleBank and its parent company, Eagle Bancorp.  In his new role, Muñoz will oversee the bank’s people strategy, focusing on talent development, leadership succession, organizational capabilities and workforce initiatives designed to support EagleBank’s long-term business objectives.

The appointment brings an executive with extensive human resources and organizational transformation experience across financial services, professional services, manufacturing and other global industries to the Bethesda, Maryland-based bank.  “EagleBank’s continued success will be shaped by our ability to attract, develop and retain exceptional people,” said Curley.

Curley said Muñoz’s experience transforming complex organizations, developing leadership pipelines and aligning talent management with business priorities will support the bank’s strategic plan.  Muñoz most recently served as Global Vice President, People & Organization at Mars, Incorporated, where he directed talent development strategies supporting more than 140,000 employees across over 80 countries.

During his tenure at Mars, he helped expand organizational capabilities through technology-enabled workforce initiatives and artificial intelligence-based learning systems.  His responsibilities included developing talent strategies for a large multinational workforce and supporting leadership development across geographically dispersed operations.

Before joining Mars, Muñoz was a Partner in People & Culture at KPMG, where he led initiatives involving talent management, employee engagement, leadership development and organizational transformation.

Earlier in his career, Muñoz held the position of Vice President of Human Resources for Corporate Offices and Wholesale Banking at TD Bank Group.  At TD Bank, he directed talent strategy, leadership development and succession planning across several corporate and banking functions, including Risk, Finance, Legal and Wholesale Banking. His experience in financial services provides a foundation for managing workforce priorities within a regulated banking environment.

Muñoz also held senior human resources and leadership development positions at BAE Systems, adding experience in organizational management and workforce development. Across these roles, his responsibilities have included executive development, succession planning, organizational transformation and aligning employee capabilities with business strategy.

At EagleBank, Muñoz will be responsible for helping develop the leadership and organizational infrastructure needed to support the bank’s strategic priorities.  His appointment reflects EagleBank’s emphasis on strengthening its workforce and leadership capabilities as it pursues sustainable growth in the Washington metropolitan banking market.

“EagleBank has built a strong franchise and distinctive culture through its people, customer relationships and commitment to the communities it serves,” Muñoz said.  He added that he looks forward to developing talent, expanding employee opportunities and supporting the bank’s long-term success.

Muñoz holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia.  He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and holds an Executive Coaching Certification from Columbia University.

EagleBank operates as one of the larger community banking institutions in the Washington, D.C. region, serving businesses and individuals across its metropolitan market.  The bank’s appointment of a dedicated Chief People Officer places additional executive-level focus on talent management, organizational development and leadership planning. With Muñoz joining the executive team in November, EagleBank is positioning its human resources strategy to support its broader business priorities while strengthening employee development and leadership continuity.
