Hancock Whitney Names New Head of Retail Banking

December 6, 2024    Gulfport, MS  —  Hancock Whitney Corporation (NASDAQ: HWC)   the parent company of Hancock Whitney Bank, has named seasoned banking leader Greg Fahey to lead teams within the company’s Retail Banking segment, focusing on the client experience and consumer growth, effective December 2.

As we look ahead to another 125 years of success, Greg’s vast industry experience will prove essential as we continue to enhance our digital platforms and the overall client experience.

With more than 32 years of industry experience managing large scale financial center teams throughout Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Georgia, Greg was most recently responsible for banking growth working for JP Morgan Chase in Central Florida. Greg has managed more than 350 Financial Centers simultaneously and helped Chase expand into new markets. Additionally, Greg led Wealth Management business growth in Central Florida for over 5 years, managing 145 private client and investment advisors.

Greg’s extensive experience also includes successfully leading teams as a Consumer Bank District Manager, Human Resources Regional Manager, HR Business Partner, and as an Employment and Compensation Manager. Greg has received numerous accolades and awards for client satisfaction, net client growth, and staff contentment.

Greg will report directly to Emory Mayfield, Chief Consumer Banking Officer. “Greg has a deep appreciation for collaboration among all areas of the bank,” Emory said. “He deeply understands our values, how our culture defines us, and the regions in which we operate. Greg is a great addition to the team.”

Fahey is a native of North Mississippi, raised in Greenville. He received an undergraduate degree in business management from Delta State University and his master’s degree in leadership and development from Louisiana State University.
