1st Summit Names CEO
April 1, 2025 — Johnstown, PA — 1st Summit Bancorp of Johnstown and unit 1st Summit Bank announced that Eric Renner submitted his voluntary resignation for personal reasons, effective March 28. Renner had been president and CEO of 1st Summit Bank since June 2020 and of 1st Summit Bancorp since January 2023.
Allison Johnson, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of the company and the bank succeeded Renner as President and CEO of both, effective March 28. Johnson will continue as CFO and Chief Risk Officer of both entities. Johnson has over 17 years of banking experience and has been CFO of 1st Summit Bancorp of Johnstown since early 2024. She previously held the same position at Mid Penn Bancorp in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition, the boards appointed Rex McQuaide, a current board member of both entities, to assume the role of chairman of both 1st Summit Bancorp and 1st Summit Bank, effective immediately.
