The First National Bank of Elmer has hired Brian Jones as President, CEO and director, effective Sept. 4. Jones succeeds Douglas Carll, whose intention to retire was reported in April. Carll had served as CEO since 1996.
Jones joins the First National Bank of Elmer from Newfield National Bank, where he had served as SVP & Chief Lending Officer since 2002. Jones holds an undergraduate degree from Rowan University, and has attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is active with a number of community and industry organizations throughout the southern New Jersey region.
The First National Bank of Elmer was established in 1903, and today remains an independent community bank, with six offices serving the financial needs of customers primarily in the Salem, Gloucester and Cumberland County area of Southern New Jersey. The bank is a subsidiary of Elmer Bancorp Inc., with total assets of over $230 million as of June 30, 2015.
